St. Charles Borromeo School

Teachers encourage the development of Catholic virtues, attitudes, and habits necessary for Christ like living in our society.

St. Charles Borromeo is a faith community rooted in the Catholic tradition and the Gospel teachings, challenged to further their Baptismal call. Their Catholic education provides opportunities to grow spiritually and morally, develop intellectually, and promote positive social interactions.

To cultivate lifelong love of learning, teachers emphasize core academic skills using a sequential curriculum with exposure to different learning and cultural activities, thereby recognizing and working with student’s strengths and weaknesses.

Students start every day with a morning prayer and attend religion class daily. Prayers are also said at lunchtime and at the end of the day. Mass is celebrated weekly, on Holy Days and for other special reasons.

Teachers provide experiences that nurture students’ attitudes of accountability, self-worth, freedom and respect. In addition, they encourage students to be goal-oriented, helping them reach their full potential.

Students with strong minds need strong bodies, which is why students are encouraged to participate in athletics to maintain strong bodies at a young age. Children have the choice to participate in soccer, football, volleyball and basketball. Other extracurricular activities students are encouraged to participate in are Chess club, Boys and Girls Scouts and Drama Club. With students participating in extracurricular activities, they can take what they’ve learned in the classroom and improve on their development skills.

Faith plays a large role in the daily life at St. Charles Borromeo with everyday staring off with a school wide morning prayer with announcements.
Faculty and staff demonstrate their faith through their actions and help students mature spiritually through religious instruction, prayer and the Eucharistic celebration of the sacraments. At every grade level, students have the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with God by participating in weekly liturgy, in daily prayer and in daily religion class.

St. Charles offers many opportunities for young students to learn and grow in a safe environment. They offer 3K and 4K programs and wrap-around care as well.
